Tantalite (Nigeria)
HMC partnered with two local entrepreneurs to secure the mining rights of an area rich in Tantalite deposits in Nigeria. In the course of 2014 the mining potential was further confirmed and the first serious exploration started. Quality control methodology and equipment where developed enabling us to measure and control quality throughout the proposed value chain from exploration to export. Local and International personnel was put in place mid 2014.
Sample shipments arrived in Antwerp, Belgium early December 2014, for further exploration.
Our Board is collaborating closely with local community leaders to ensure the development of the mine goes hand in hand with the development of the local community and to ensure that this takes place with the highest regards to sustainability and social responsibility.
During 2017 the mining operation will be further up scaled and mechanized to expand the business.
